Let’s take a moment to talk about all of those dirty talking, gun toting, sometimes Mafia bad boys.  I think that a ‘bad boy’ is very subjective, and he’s often confused with the alpha male and the playboy. Although, bad boys are often those things as well, I feel like a true bad boy in romance novels needs to have this edge to him, that tips him into the badass category.  If he happens to be a trained killer or part of an underground world, even better!

I think it’s long over do that I bring you my Top 10 Bad Boys in romance novels!  Tell me in the comments who your favorite bad boy is!

Kade Dennon from the Kathleen Turner Series by Tiffany Snow

Kade is a hired assassin and a hacker and this many all hard on the outside has a soft sweet center made of gold for his family and the woman he loves.  He would legit do ANYTHING to protect them. Kade is my ultimate book boyfriend and this bad boy is sexy af and protective and willing to kill anyone who gets in his way!

Skeeter Malcom from the Rose Gardner Mysteries by Denise Grover Swank

Here is the thing about Skeeter, he’s not really the hero of the series but that doesn’t keep my from fawning all over this bad boy! I was calling Skeeter mine before he was on anyone else’s radar.  He runs an underground crime syndicate and becomes Rose’s confidant. When you meet Skeeter in the beginning of the series you are going to be a bit skeptical and be like dang. This man is shady af, but he’s going to grow on you and you will want this man in your corner.

Bennett Mafia will have you on the edge of your seat in suspense and falling in love with the bad boy in this opposites attract mafia romance.

Kai Bennett of Bennett Mafia by Tijan

Some heroes are just loveable assholes and Kai is one of them, at first you don’t think there is anyway you will ever be attracted to him, but once you get to know him and learn his motives, you learn that even if he’s a killer there is a good reason behind the men he has killed, and that makes him hotter than before.

Vicious from Vicious by L.J. Shen

Vicious is one of the biggest jerks I have ever read to be honest with you, at first I absolutely despised him because he as such a bad boy but then I realized that he was a classic case of picking on the girl he liked, and he just didn’t quite know how to express it. He’s a total alpha asshole and one of the few that I personally love!

Damien from Exquisite Taste by J.D. Hollyfield

Here’s the thing you need to know about Damien, he’s a little different bad boy from the previous I mentioned so far on this list. He owns a an exclusive club and runs a very tight ship, that is until this cute thing walks in and makes all kinds of demands. Then this bad boy shows her just how much you don’t try to manipulate him in the sexiest way possible! ((It’s one of the hottest books I’ve read))

An all new sexy and angst filled series from Stylo Fantome is coming and you don't want to miss this exclusive excerpt of What We Do in the Night.

Ari Sharapov from What We Do in the Night by Stylo Fantome

Ari is an interesting bad boy as we met him the first time we had no idea who he was but he was sexier than hell and we could feel a distinct edge to him, but the second time we encounter Ari, we know FOR SURE that hero is a bad boy.  Once you read it… you will see why!

Ramos from the Shelby Nichols Series by Colleen Helme

Ramos is a motorcycle riding, right hand man to the mafia leader in his area. He is the protector of our heroine, who by the way is married. I can honestly tell you that I have never wanted a character to cheat on their spouse more than in this series. He is danger and sex appeal wrapped in delicious package!

Murder Notes, the first book in the Liliah Love series, is full of secrets, lies and deceptions and will leave you needing to know how it ends.

Kane Mendez from the Lilah Love Series by Lisa Renee Jones

Here is the thing with Kane, you don’t know much about him. He’s elusive and mysterious and willing to hide a dead body for you. But he’s hard to trust and you don’t know for sure when he’s telling you the full truth and that just makes him all the more alluring.

Jett from the Bourbon Series by Meghan Quinn

Jett is similar to Damien in the fact that he owns a club but they are still so different, Jett is broody as all get out, but also demanding in the best kind of way. He will make your panties sticky and have you drooling all over him!

When We Faded is the first book in the Faded duet, a contemporary musician romance, that will rock your world and shatter your heart in one fell swoop.

Ryder Woods of the Faded Duet by Julie Johnson

Finally by boy Ryder. Y’all this man didn’t start out as bad boy, no he had his heart pummeled to the point that he turned to drugs, alcohol and women, which when you are famous musician you can always find in excess.  He may not be willing to kill someone for his woman but this man is more than willing to give up everything for the woman he loves!

These are my top ten favorite romance heroes, now I want to hear below who your favorites are! Tell me, who and why. Let’s chat in the comments.

    1. I just scrolled down here to say the exact same thing. I’m trying to convince my boyfriend that our next dog will be a boy just so I can name him Preppy and buy him little bow tie collars!

  1. I’m agreeing with Richelle and saying Preppy from the King series. Or Bear. But mostly Preppy. I also really liked Mason from Ex Games by Stella Rhys. And I tend to fall in love with all the guys Mariana Zapata creates.

      1. Do. It. I read this one twice and will probably read it again.

This is my fave exchange from Ex Games (it’s not a texting book, they’re sprinkled throughout, but this one’s the best):

        MASON: Send me a picture.
        ME: Of me in it?
MASON: No of the sky. What else would I be asking for?
ME: I can’t now but later.
        MASON: Why
MASON: Tell me it’s because you tried it on naked.
MASON: In case it’s not clear I’m sexting you now
MASON: For the love for God let me see you Taylor.
