Kristen Petersen doesn’t do drama, will fight to the death for her friends, and has no room in her life for guys who just don’t get her. She’s also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children.

Planning her best friend’s wedding is bittersweet for Kristen—especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. He’s funny, sexy, never offended by her mile-wide streak of sarcasm, and always one chicken enchilada ahead of her hangry. Even her dog, Stuntman Mike, adores him. The only catch: Josh wants a big family someday. Kristen knows he’d be better off with someone else, but as their attraction grows, it’s harder and harder to keep him at arm’s length.

The Friend Zone will have you laughing one moment and grabbing for tissues the next as it tackles the realities of infertility and loss with wit, heart, and a lot of sass.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

That was a wonderful heart wrenching story!

The Friend Zone is one of those are incredibly difficult to review because it’s so good that you can’t quite put into words how the story made you feel and feel everything all at once.

This story along with many other romances have the cutesy cover that make you think, judging solely by the cover that you are going to be reading a light romantic comedy, but I’ve learned the hard way that you can’t judge a book by the cover. The Friend Zone, while it is a funny and charming and adorable, it will also emotionally wreck you.

Every single time I thought whew, we got through that, WHAM, Abby hit me upside the head with more emotion. I was exhausted and emotionally drained after reading The Friend Zone, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I can’t believe I haven’t said this before, because it’s the first thing I told my friend when I told her she needs to read The Friend Zone, but I want someone to love me the way that Josh loves Kristen! He was a great friend first and foremost, and then he would take care of her and was there for her no matter how many times she tried to push him away. He was there breaking down the walls and just proving time after time that he has her back.

The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez is a must read friends to lovers romance that will hit you in the gut with a range of emotions while you fall in love.
